As summer winds down and we eagerly approach the start of a new academic year, we're thrilled to bring you the latest updates, exciting events, and important reminders from New Hope Academy! 

Get ready for a fantastic year ahead as we dive into all that's happening in our vibrant school community!

Mr. Gilliam U.S. History classes began studying the origins and influences of horses in American history. Mr. Gilliam launched his year-long project, a community partnership with Black Trail Stables in Chesterfield, VA.

During the launch, students arrived at the barn in time to bring the horses in from pastures for breakfast. They were introduced to each horse and learned how to properly care for, approach, and bond with them.

As the project progresses, students will be immersed in cowboy culture, allowing them to connect with the stories in their U.S. History classes by learning horse care, equipment, and eventually how to ride.

There was a magical connection between the students and the horses, and everyone left the barn a better version of themselves.

Ms. Kelly, one of our dedicated teachers here at New Hope Academy, spearheaded our "NHA Parent Meet and Greet" on August 14th!

This event provided a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to come together, fostering a collaborative environment while discussing important topics such as college preparedness, mental health, deeper learning, and community support resources.

The event featured team-building activities, engaging discussions, and a warm atmosphere filled with food, laughter, and door prizes!

It was an incredible experience that strengthened the partnership between parents and the school community, paving the way for ongoing collaboration and support.
